The Commercial Challenge

Extending the commercial viability of an aging, 20-year-old MR Tanker requires rigorous coating maintenance to secure CAP 1 certification. Aquanav was tasked with executing this critical upgradation inside the highly complex, confined structures of the Forepeak Tank (FPK) and Water Ballast Tanks (WBT 6 Port & Starboard) without extending the vessel's planned operational downtime.

Proprietary Deployment: Vertomech Rigging

A cornerstone of this project's success was the implementation of our proprietary Vertomech rigging system. By eliminating the need for traditional, time-consuming scaffolding inside the tanks, we significantly reduced preparation time and increased safety for our riding squad. This streamlined approach was instrumental in maintaining the vessel's tight operational schedule while achieving the rigorous standards required for CAP 1 certification.
